Every year, early in term 4, Marco School holds it's annual pet day. Students bring a calf, lamb or goat to be judged by The President of the Whangamomona Republic and other community members with expertise in the area.

• Animals must be born afetr August 1st to be eligible to enter

• There is categories for Preschool, Junior (Yr 1-4) and Senior (Year 5-8)

• Lambs are judged on:

  • Grooming

  • Leading

  • Calling

• Calves are judged on:

  • Leading

  • Grooming

• Goats are judged on

  • Leading

  • Grooming

We also have a "best dressed pet" parade and a Mum's Calling competition.

As well as pets, the children prepare sand-saucers, miniture gardens, and vege creations.  They also run stalls and games for the visitors at the conclusion of pet judging.
