Check out our Connected Curriculum in Action!
Our School is very lucky to work with the House of Science who provide stunning resources for our students.
Where possible we connect our Science learning to our Termly Focus from our Connected curriculum.
We also connect with other budding Scientists on VLN through topics offered online.
The Arts - Performing Art, Visual Art and Music
The Arts is interwoven through our termly Connected Curriculum focus. We love having our classrooms full of bright displays showcasing learning and celebrations.
Our students are creative and careful artists, keen dancers and excellent actors!
Learn, Create and Share - Being Cybersmart
Cybersmart learning is starting to be embedded within our learn, create, share teaching at Marco School. We want our learners to be safe and smart while using devices- empowering them as connected digital citizens.
Our young people learn to make smart decisions when their learning is visible and accessible, anytime, on safe platforms like HERO, done at their pace and at their capability level.
Our students focus on using the Google Suite- such as Docs and Slides, Scratch Junior, Google Classroom and use Zoom when learning through VLN.
Teachers at Marco School support our students to begin to understand that every time they connect, collaborate and share online it combines to create their digital footprint.
Enviroschools
Marco School has a partnership with the Enviroschools team that encourages sustainability and outdoor education. Students connect with and explore the environment, then plan, design and take action in their local place in collaboration with their communities.
We have some amazing natural wonders already such as a very productive orchard and vege garden where we grow produce to share with the wider community - as well as our very own pig Pepe!
Our Co-ordinator is Gwenda Pease who herself has a beautiful connection with the region and the local Schools.
