At Marco School we understand how important it is the  principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are upheld and valued.

We begin each day with student-led whakawhanaungatanga.

Mihi, Pepeha, Karakia, Waiata, Te Reo Maori, morning talks.

We also give basic intstructions in Te Reo Māori and English.

Our strategic goals and values are strongly aligned with the Māori values of Manaakitanga, Mahi tahi and kaitiakitanga.

We maintain strong relationships with Whanau and community members.

Teachers are constantly upskilling in the area of Te reo me ona tikanga Māori.

Marco School is part of the central Taranaki MAC (Māori Achievement Collaborative) cluster and we are committed to raising Māori achievement.
